Le Verre Bouteille, Paris

In Paris and after a late concert at the Palais des Congres, we were at a loss to find a place serving food nearby at 11:30pm. We stumbled across this place and started to read the reviews they had posted on the walls as we waited at the bar (it was still packed at 11:30).

It turns out they’re especially known for their steak tartare.. yum. So we each ordered one… and it came with a salad and a gratin dauphinois. The dauphinois was delicious, perfectly charred on top and creamy inside. The steak tartare itself was also a bit creamy, I’m not sure exactly what they’d added to give it that consistency, but it was great. And a light salad to complement these heavier dishes… wonderful.
photo 4(3)This isn’t the best steak tartare I’ve ever had, and we were certainly starving by the time it came… but it was pretty good, and a great option for a late-night meal after a show at the Palais des Congres or if you find yourself in the 17th for any other reason!
