After a big Friday night, we girls dragged ourselves out of bed and readied ourselves for a few hours at the Grand Bazaar. We spent hours looking at bags, bowls, evil eyes and lighting fixtures (!)
Here’s Michelle having a tea in the bag store…
And in the most amazing lighting store…
After the bazaar, we headed back to the Bosphorus waterfront for lunch. We stayed at the House Hotel in Nisantasi, but there is another branch on the Bosphorus. The restaurant there is light and airy, with a large portion being on the outside terrace.
We decided to share a few salads, as it was already late afternoon.
Quinoa, haselnuts, squash, beets, feta, and roasted red peppersMung beans, fennel, and olives with chili
Gozleme with cheese (think quesadilla)
We washed this down with the same bottle of rosé that Ali and I had shared the day before… it’s becoming one of my favourites – then headed back to the hotel for a little catnap before dinner.
Some other pictures from our day…
