The Saturday in Geneva, Andre joined me before a friend’s 40th birthday dinner… we wandered around the Old Town, where the big annual race was going on… getting a bit chilly after a while of standing and cheering on the runners, we popped into Chez Ma Cousine (which promised roast chicken!) for lunch.
It’s quite a simple menu, with roast chicken, potatoes, and several different types of salads. We ordered all!
An endive salad with rocquefort cheese, tomatoes, and walnuts, all in a delicious mustard vinaigrette and topped with a bunch of herbs. Yum.
And the roast chicken… marinated in a Basque sauce (tomato, onion, green peppers and thyme), it was nicely roasted and not overcooked… and hit the spot.
After the fondue and meringue/ cream dessert we had had the night before, we didn’t need anything for dessert… so were on our way!
