A Sunday walking along the Kings Road, we stopped in at the Bluebird for lunch… It had recently been remodelled, and looks great, with lots of light and high beams around the ceiling.
The Sunday menu is prix fixe, with two courses for £18.95 and three for £22.95. I had the goat’s cheese, Kalamata olive and crispy olives. Then, the charred mackerel with borlotti beans and chorizo… served in a tomato-y sauce. Both very good, this would have been the perfect meal…
But then we decided we may as well order dessert… so got the profiteroles with salted caramel with pistachio ice cream, the French toast (so light and fluffy… and eggy, it was amazing) and the vanilla creme brulee. All were good, but wow, was that French toast delicious!
Nice crew at the restaurant… and especially happy auntie!
