PJ’s, Fulham Road, Chelsea

A Saturday morning, and my brother, sister-in-law and niece just got into town. In the name of keeping them awake, we quickly left the flat to get them out and about… and went for lunch at the local “American” restaurant, as it had lots of choices on the menu.

After not having been in a while, I actually have been to PJ’s a few times in the past few weeks, and have enjoyed a number of their dishes… including the truffled scrambled eggs and the steak tartare (though, quick note, the large tartare is still tiny!)

This time, I went for the wild mushrooms sauteed with chives, served on a slice of toasted (very buttery… mmm) brioche and topped with fried eggs. There was nothing over the top about this dish, but it all came out perfectly. Great dish.

After we all ate, we continued on, down the Fulham Road, checking out the boutiques and the Christmas lights, as it became dark…
