Aqua, Mercado do Ribera, Lisbon

A quick lunch before hopping on a flight back to London on the Sunday… we stopped by the Mercado do Ribera, which is kind of touristy, but has a great number of different food stands, serving up everything from burgers and pizzas to all sorts of different seafoods.

We opted for a table outside and for some simple seafood… Garlic prawns and clams in a white wine and garlic sauce… both were delicious. The clams were exactly what I had eaten in the Lisbon the last time I was there in 2012, and had been obsessed with finding. And they were delicious.

Mopped up with a few pieces of bread… they were delicious. We licked both plates clean. There is nothing like simple seafood with a little garlic and oil… heaven.
