The boutique hotel I stayed in over the weekend was great… slightly rustic, but with cute rooms, private gardens behind the rooms, and a great pool area.
On Saturday nights, they do a family style dinner for anyone who wants to join in the hotel, and also has several open slots for outsiders that want to join in. Wednesday nights are roast chicken nights and Saturday nights are steak nights. We had a great beet and goat cheese salad to start, then a palate cleanser (small bowl of orzo with a slice of banana and piece of fried chicken… not exactly a palate cleanser, but delicious)… then, rib eye steak, steamed potatoes (with lime and brown butter), and succotash. Brilliant. And a wobbly panna cotta afterwards.
A really nice night meeting new people, especially new friends from Omaha, Nebraska! Definitely recommended for a relaxing weekend and lovely Saturday night.
