Banyan Tree Hotel, Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Another tough day at the beach… after some paddle-boarding and swimming in the sea, it was time for some lunch!

Sapna and I each got a fish taco (they’re great here – and they’ll serve them grilled, blackened, or fried.) I tried mine blackened this time, which gave the fish a nice, charred effect… topped with some pico de gallo and lettuce, and radishes. Topped with some adobo hot sauce and some guacamole… perfect.

And then, on the side, the tuna tartare. Big chunks of tuna on a bed of guacamole, served with some scooped avocado balls on the side… again, top it off with some hot sauce and life was good…

Back to sitting and looking at the view…
