After all of this traveling, I love nothing more than to spend time at home when I’m back in London… I end up cooking a lot, filling up the freezer, and nesting in general!
I had some friends over for dinner last night, as it’s always more fun to cook for a group… besides, the leaks in my flat have finally stopped, so it’s time to have people over!
After some things to pick at (my favourite tepanade and mushroom cream from Luigi’s on the Fulham Road) and then some homemade pumpkin soup to warm us up, I made a loose interpretation of Persian chicken with tadiq (the crispy burnt rice at the bottom) that was crisped to perfection!
Served with some chickpeas and spinach in a coconut curry sauce… yum. And some very creamy tiramisu (store bought) for a sweet bite at the end.
It was a great dinner and great night with good friends (thanks for coming from NY, John!) and a few too many bottles of red to wash it all down… Vive les weekends!
