The Thursday before my brother’s wedding (!!), I met up with Ghislaine, my father’s girlfriend, having promised to take her shopping in Manhattan for the weekend. We mainly walked around the Flatiron District and the West Village, stopping near Union Square for some lunch on a terrace.
Given that it was 2pm and knowing that we had a dinner at 7pm, we had a light lunch. I had the salad with arugula, fresh ricotta, radishes and prosciutto. It was more than enough for lunch, but tasted light and fresh. The prosciutto gave me the salt fix that I needed.
Ghislaine had the bruschetta starter (one with tomatoes, one with guacamole, one with mozzarella and one with tepanade) with some prosciutto on the side. Apparently also very good.
A quick coffee each, and we were ready to get back to shopping!
