Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts, Bicester Village

Sunday in the Cotswolds, we drove from town to town, visiting Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and other small, charming villages. By midday, we decided that we were ready to head home, and might even stop at Bicester Village, an outlet shopping center, on the way home.

By the time we got there, it was 1pm. After some shopping, 2:30pm. There was no way we were going to make it home without some lunch. So we grabbed something outside at the Jamie Oliver booth, which sold baps (either bacon or pulled pork), hotdogs (regular and topped with BBQed pulled pork), salads and noodle salads. I went for the noodle salad (with corn, edamame, peas, shoots, and chilis) with rice noodles, topped with the smoked chicken. It was fine, but not great… in making it healthy, they didn’t put any sauce or dressing on it, and the small bits of chili weren’t enough to flavour the entire dish, making it pretty bland. I ate about half of it, picking out most of the veggies and leaving most of the noodles… healthy enough and filling. Back to shopping!!!
